Sa Coma is a smaller resort on the East coast of Mallorca just South of the large resort of Cala Millor. Sa Coma has a decent sized beach, Playa de Sa Coma, and is most well known for the drive-in safari with all kinds of animals from Africa roaming freely in the enclosure while people look at them from the safety of their own car or a safari bus.

General Information on Sa Coma and S'Illot
The resort of Sa Coma is built around the two beaches of the resort south from the peninsula of Punta de n'Amer. The northern beach of the resort is called Playa Sa Coma, which is almost one kilometer long sand beach. The area around this beach is called Sa Coma. The southern part of the resort is called S'Illot which is built around the beach called Playa S'Illot. Playa S'Illot is much smaller about 250 meters long beach. Most of the resort's restaurants and shops can be found from the Sa Coma area along the streets of Avenida de les Savines and Avenida de las Palmera.

The beach boulevard of Sa Coma is an excelent way to walk around the resort on foot. The walking path goes throughout the resort and continues to the hiking area of Punta de n'Amer from the northern side of the resort. This hiking area connects Sa Coma to the resort of Cala Millor. If you don't feel like walking, there are also many bus stops and mini train stops along the mainstreets of the resort and the safari bus is a great way to access the Safari Park next to the resort.
Activities and Sights in Sa Coma
Cruises: You can take a cruise onboard submarine vision boats that go daily from the pier that is located at the southern end of Playa Sa Coma. These cruises visit other resorts of Mallorca's East coast like Cala Ratjada and Porto Cristo.
Hiking and horseback riding: At the northern end of Sa Coma there is a nature reserve of Punta den'Amer where you can go hiking and visit the castle of Punta den'Amer or walk to the resort of Cala Millor. There is also a possibility for horseback riding at the area of this nature reserve.
Golf: The Golf course of Son Serveran is located near the resort about seven kilometers north from Sa Coma.
Other activities and sights: The famous caves of Arta are about 13 kilometers away from the resort. The zoo of Sa Coma is right next to the resort which is a safari park where the animals roam free and the visitors can watch them from their cars or from safari busses that tour around the park. Inside the resort between Sa Coma and S'Illot there is an ancient park from the era of the Talayot culture. This park contains lots of ruins of stone buildings that were typical for the Talayot culture.
Tourist Information of Sa Coma and S'Illot
There are two tourist information points in the resort. One of them is located near the Playa S'Illot and Placa de La Savina. Another tourist information can be found close to the Talayot park and the main street called Avinguda de les Savines.
