North Mallorca is characterized by the rocky mountain shores of the Tramuntana mountains, which hide gems like the beaches of Cala Sant Vicenç with their breathtaking views, but there are also two of the most well known beach resorts on Mallorca, Port de Pollensa and Alcudia, which both have long beaches with fine white sand stretching into the horizon. One of the most gorgeous beaches in North Mallorca is the beach of Formentor, Platja de Formentor, which is pictured on many postcards.
